Brandon Farmer begins his twelfth season as our sophomore assistant coach. Many of us remember Brandon as the tough-nosed point guard on the 2007 team that finished with a school record number of wins, a school record defensive average, and an Elite Eight State Tournament appearance. Few players in the history of LCHS were as accomplished as Brandon. He was a two-time CS8 Player of the Year, an IBCA 2nd Team All-Stater, and one of three players in the history of the school to play in two Elite Eight State Tournament games. He averaged 18.1 points his junior and senior years, and graduated as co-MVP of his 2007 team. After Farmer’s high school career, he went on to play college basketball and graduate from Lincoln College and the University of Illinois-Springfield with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Currently, Brandon is a self-employed farmer. He and his wife Courtnee have four children: 8-year-old Sofia, 6-year-old Vayda, 5-year-old Mabry, and 1-year-old Brigs.
